CONTINGENT OWNED EQUIPMENT OFFICER, P4

Overview

The Contingent Owned Equipment Officer will manage all contingent owned equipment operations of the mission, providing policy and technical advice on the implementation and management of the COE System.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides policy and technical advice on the COE System.
• Develops mission specific policies and procedures for MOU implementation and management.
• Provides guidance and interpretation of the COE Manual.
• Liaises between field mission and Headquarters staff on COE matters.
• Reviews mission's operational and logistic support plans.
• Plans and supervises COE/MOU inspections.
• Processes Verification Reports (VRs).
• Conducts quarterly analysis over the performance of deployed units.
• Prepares responses to audit reports.
• Exercises managerial and supervisory control over the COE Unit.
• Runs the global COE KPI management programme.

Required Experience

A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in managing logistic support operations and property management services in military or police organisations is required. Relevant COE field experience in international military or UN peacekeeping operations is required. Demonstrated relevant experience in planning, coordinating, and supervising COE/MOU inspections is required. Demonstrated experience serving as a member of, and/or Secretary to, the Mission’s COE/MOU Management Review Board (CMMRB) is required.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration or a logistics related field. First level university degree with a combination of relevant academic qualifications and experience in property management, supply chain management or logistic support services may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
