Overview

The Associate Management and Programme Analyst will participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects, focusing on the deployment and utilization of Umoja ERP in field offices.


Key Responsibilities
  • Participates in programme/project development, implementation, and evaluation, supporting Umoja ERP deployment and utilization.
  • Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation, identifying issues and proposing corrective actions.
  • Provides support for communication strategies and plans related to Umoja ERP and the Delegation of Authority initiative.
  • Supports the development of communication performance metrics and applies analytics to refine strategies.
  • Assists in quality assurance reviews of administrative services, including Umoja roles and workflows.
  • Assists in providing strategic analysis of programme performance.
  • Assists with consulting assignments, including process mapping and workshop facilitation.
  • Researches, analyzes, and presents information from diverse sources.
  • Proposes innovative ways of presenting information.
  • Assists in policy development, including review and analysis of issues and trends.
  • Assists with survey initiatives, designing data collection tools and analyzing responses.
  • Assists in preparing written outputs such as background papers, analysis, and reports.
  • Provides substantive support to meetings and conferences.
  • Assists in outreach activities, conducting training workshops and seminars.
  • Participates in missions, providing guidance and drafting mission summaries.
  • Coordinates assigned activities related to budget and funding.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Required Experience

A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, communications, administration or related area is required. No experience is needed for candidates who have passed the United Nations Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP) or the G to P Examination (G to P). Experience in drafting communication materials, preparing reports or presentations, and supporting outreach or engagement activities is required.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, management, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in combination with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
