Overview
The Programme Associate (M&E-VAM) will support the development and implementation of monitoring, review, and evaluation plans to produce quality evidence on beneficiaries' lives and inform policies, strategies, and programme design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide contributions to the development of monitoring, review, and evaluation plans.
- Budgetize M&E costs and advocate for appropriate funding and human resources.
- Contribute to evidence-based decision-making regarding programme design and implementation.
- Support the WFP office in processing recommendations from monitoring, reviews, and evaluations.
- Contribute to strengthening M&E capacity of sub-office staff and partners through training and information sharing.
- Mentor and coach sub-office staff, serving as a point of reference and providing support in data analysis and processing.
- Support the supervisor to ensure the implementation and compliance of country office monitoring systems and tools.
- Draft and archive regular monitoring reports for audits on progress and implementation status, and contribute to data analysis.
- Provide assistance for the coordination of data collection and analysis systems.
- Support the development of food security and vulnerability analysis and timely reporting on food security assessment needs.
- Support capacity building of WFP staff, partners, and government to conduct vulnerability analyses.
- Ensure and/or support the collection of market data and market assessments.
- Intervene within the emergency response functions assigned to the sub-office, as needed.
- Support partner assessment missions and their TPM for external evaluations of WFP activities at the field office level.
- Other tasks as needed.
Required Experience
At least six years of relevant professional experience, with increasing levels of responsibility, including in monitoring and evaluation activities. Experience in the use of various quantitative and qualitative analysis tools and methods.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary studies, preferably supplemented by a university degree in social sciences, statistics, international development, anthropology, economics, law, monitoring and evaluation, or any other related field.
