Overview

The role supports the implementation of supply chain plans and activities to strengthen national capacity in the Pacific region, contributing to emergency preparedness and response systems.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of supply chain plans, procedures, and activities.
  • Support the collection and analysis of data related to supply chain operations.
  • Prepare basic analyses, summaries, and reports.
  • Assist in monitoring budgets and expenditures.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal teams.
  • Support engagement with external partners.
  • Contribute to market assessments and supply chain mapping exercises.
  • Compile and prepare routine reports, dashboards, and visual materials.
  • Provide day-to-day support to team activities.
  • Support preparedness activities and emergency response operations.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Support engagement with national stakeholders.
  • Assist in the implementation of logistics capacity strengthening initiatives.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of a Community of Practice.
  • Ensure the integration of cross-cutting priorities.
  • Provide support in the development and updating of educational and training materials.
  • Promote inclusive and sustainable practices in humanitarian logistics and supply chain.
Required Experience

At least one (1) year of postgraduate professional experience in project management, humanitarian development, or emergency response, preferably in logistics or emergency management.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Disaster Management, Humanitarian Affairs, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a First University degree with additional years of relevant work experience.

Fluency (oral and written) in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of another UN language would be an asset.
