Overview
Support the delivery of services and transactions in operational areas such as finance, human resources, procurement, and information technology management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of services and transactions in one or more specialized operational areas and subdisciplines.
- Share information with clients, staff and partners on procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain consistency in approach and adherence to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Support the delivery of standard processes, transactions, services and work products.
- Escalate areas for process and procedure improvement.
- Support training in relevant business operations support areas.
- Perform finance-support services including imprest accounts, payments, budget administration, financial monitoring, and income/awards administration.
- Support human resources plan administration including contract management, staff recruitment, selection, onboarding, and briefing.
- Procure goods/services including support to purchase requisitions, administering tender/bidding processes, and supporting supplier management.
- Provide information technology support services for day-to-day operations.
- Provide support for logistics and transportation administration.
- Administer the inventory of supplies and organizational assets.
- Administer travel, processing requests, visa issuances, flight and hotel bookings, and follow up on travel related issues.
Required Experience
A minimum of three years of work experience relevant to the position (administering support services and transactions in operational support areas, including finance, and/or human resources, and/or procurement, and information technology management support). Experience in administrative support positions within WHO or another United Nations agency. Experience in Oracle-based systems or another enterprise resource planning system.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary education. Training and certification in one or more UN operational service areas or systems.
