Internship supporting the IDSF Secretariat with a focus on development finance, quantitative analysis, data management, and economic research.
Academic background or demonstrated interest in economics, finance, development finance, public policy, statistics, data analytics or a related field. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated ability to work with Excel and structured datasets. Experience conducting desk research, literature reviews, financial or economic analysis, data cleaning or data visualization is desirable. Familiarity with public finance, multilateral development banks, development finance institutions, donor financing, results frameworks or investment-case development is an asset. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Stata, R, Python, GIS, advanced Excel or other analytical tools would be an advantage. Knowledge of internal displacement, durable solutions, fragile contexts or humanitarian-development collaboration would be helpful.
Applicants to the UNDP internship programme must, at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements: Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme or higher); Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent); Have recently graduated with a university degree, as defined above, and, if selected, start the internship within one year of graduation; or Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship programme and undertake the internship as part of this programme
