The intern will support the IDSF Secretariat with a focus on communications, knowledge management, content development, and coordination. The role involves documenting lessons learned, managing information systems, and drafting communications products.
Experience or strong interest in communications, knowledge management, public information, international development, forced displacement or humanitarian affairs. Experience drafting meeting notes, summaries, web content, newsletters, presentations or other communications products is desirable. Familiarity with website content management, SharePoint, Mailchimp, Canva, PowerPoint, Adobe tools or similar communications and design platforms is an asset. Some knowledge of internal displacement, durable solutions, UN coordination or development policy would be helpful.
Applicants must, at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements: Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme or higher); Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent); Have recently graduated with a university degree, as defined above, and, if selected, start the internship within one year of graduation; or Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship programme and undertake the internship as part of this programme.
