Overview
This internship focuses on data visualization and database management within the Department of Operational Support, assisting with health-related projects and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of health-related projects.
- Develop Power BI reports and other data visualization reports of health-related data.
- Contribute to the monitoring of health policy developments.
- Assist in preparing official documents, ensuring accuracy.
- Conduct research on medical and psychosocial policies and internet searches.
- Assist with reporting, drafting, and editing content for print, web, and multimedia.
- Assist in organizing special events and meetings.
- Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.
Qualifications
- Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- a) Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent or higher);
- b) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor's level or equivalent); or
- c) Have graduated with a university degree (secondary or first level);
- d) Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; and
- e) Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
- f) Risk/Crisis management and/or Emergency Care background is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
- An orientation in statistical data analytics is desirable.
- Public Health or Data Management background is desirable.
