Overview
The intern will assist in the coordination, design, management, and communication of trade-related assistance projects in Asia and The Pacific countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to coordinate ITC’s work in Asian and Pacific countries, including preparing briefing notes and country/project briefs, and conducting research and analysis of trade-related issues.
- Provide support to project design, including preparing and drafting project-related documents and assisting in project-related data and surveys analysis.
- Provide support to project management, including assisting in day-to-day project implementation activities, coordinating project inputs, and preparing reports on results achieved.
- Provide support to project external and internal communications, including preparing and updating promotional material, designing and updating project websites or social media, and preparing and disseminating project newsletters.
Required Experience
- Experience of having studied or worked in a developing country or country in transition would be an asset;
- Participation in development initiatives would be an asset (e.g. engagement in an NGO or association with development purposes, also beyond trade)
- Prior work experience in the area of trade would be an asset
Qualifications
Applicants shall, at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements: a) Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or b) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); c) Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in a or b above) and, if selected, shall commence the internship within one year of graduation. Field of studies: Economics, Business administration, Management.
