Overview

To establish a Long-Term Agreement for an individual consultant to provide on-demand technical support for Nutrition in Emergency response and early recovery in Viet Nam.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for early actions, planning, and needs assessment, including reviewing data, developing response plans, and participating in coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate with partners for timely delivery of supplies and services, support implementation of nutrition services, and facilitate communication among response entities.
  • Support knowledge management by assessing impacts, documenting lessons learned, and providing recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing data and information for donor proposals and reports, and support communication and advocacy activities.
Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience with nutrition in emergencies and familiar with nutrition field monitoring. Demonstrated experience as a consultant in an advisory role is required. Familiarity with the Viet Nam emergency response system and health care system at province and community level. Experience in building and mentoring capacity of government counterparts, with experience working closely with potential beneficiaries; experience working with the UN and/or an NGO is an asset.

Qualifications

A minimum of Master’s degree in human nutrition, public health, medicine or related health discipline. A diploma in a relevant field with experience can be considered in lieu of the degree.
