Overview
The Communication Specialist will focus on communication, visibility, and knowledge management for a national project, supporting communication networks, content development, digital communication, and dissemination of results.
Key Responsibilities
- Activate and maintain a support network among organizational communication centers.
- Coordinate and articulate joint communication actions.
- Produce high-quality journalistic content.
- Contribute content to institutional websites, newsletters, reports, digital platforms, social media channels.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the project’s web landing page.
- Support the dissemination of project results to national policy-makers and stakeholders.
- Liaise closely with communication focal points and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure the visibility of FAO's role in the project.
- Monitor the outcomes of media outreach.
- Deliver audiovisual assets in high-resolution and edit pieces.
- Organize, classify, and securely store video and photo records.
- Secure necessary signatures for image use consent forms and upload them to the image bank.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in institutional communication, journalism or knowledge dissemination.
- Experience in communication related to agriculture, biodiversity, environment or rural development.
- Previous experience with the United Nations or international cooperation projects.
Qualifications
University degree in journalism.
