Overview
The Programme Associate (M&E) will provide strategic leadership and oversight of monitoring, accountability, and learning functions to ensure programmes are guided by evidence and aligned with organizational priorities. The role will also strategize and facilitate capacity strengthening and knowledge transition to the Government.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate monitoring activities in the country office.
- Provide technical expertise for monitoring evidence generation.
- Act as the focal point for gender and disability inclusion.
- Support programme staff in understanding impacts and identifying partnerships.
- Collect, compile, and analyze data to support operational decision-making.
- Verify planned assistance and report issues or discrepancies.
- Coordinate capacity building for government stakeholders, cooperating partners, and internal counterparts.
- Work as a team with programme staff located at the field office.
- Timely collection, verification, and consolidation of monitoring data.
- Timely coordination and implementation of gender and disability inclusion related actions.
- Regular monitoring and verification of programme activities conducted.
- Monitoring data analyzed and quality reports, dashboards, and briefs produced.
- Capacity-building and technical support provided to government counterparts, cooperating partners, and programme teams.
- Monitoring plans, records, and documentation maintained in line with WFP standards.
Required Experience
At least six years of progressively responsible work experience in database management, statistical analyses, visualization, and design. Experience of monitoring and research of agricultural projects. Has worked with technical teams (i.e. M&E, VAM, etc.). Has contributed to implementation of programmes. Has observed or assisted with policy discussions.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
