Overview
The Social Media Intern will work with the Development Team to grow their social media presence to improve awareness, drive fundraising, and reach new audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Development Team to promote IRC’s work in New York and New Jersey to raise funding, engage supporters, and raise awareness
- Create engaging content for all major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, and others.
- Brainstorm ideas for social media projects and opportunities
- Schedule content to be published on social media at ideal times
- Assist with monitoring the social media channels and activities
- Assist with curating social media content for events, stand-alone campaigns, and other projects
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience
- Experience working with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Youtube platforms.
- Familiarity with graphic design software or other tools to create eye-catching social media content.
- Ability to work in person in New York City or Elizabeth (NJ) at least 1 day per week.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Undergraduate Program or Masters Program, or have graduated from a post-secondary institution within the last 2 years.
