Overview
The MEAL Officer will support the implementation of standardized MEAL processes across the Area-Based Approach (ABA) Consortium, focusing on strengthening the quality and consistency of subgrantee programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure standardized MEAL processes are integrated into DRC’s partner programming in the Consortium.
- Conduct Due Diligence (DD) MEAL assessments.
- Provide development and validation of logframes, Indicator Performance Tracking Tables (IPTs), and MEAL plans.
- Carry out validation and development of MEAL tools.
- Review and approve reports.
- Support with IPT / Activity Info reporting.
- Contribute to Partners’ capacity development by training on MEAL related aspects.
- Carry out activities requested by the MEAL Specialist and/or Area Programme Manager related to MEAL activities.
- Conduct Field Monitoring Visits (FMVs) to subgrantees and draft FMV reports.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of experience preferably in social work, community development, non-governmental organizations, or civil society.
- Experience working with the humanitarian sector.
- Experience using data collection tools (Kobo, Microsoft Forms, Google Forms, Power BI/Tableau, etc.).
- Knowledge/experience with Monitoring & Evaluation specifically, information management or accountability and basic knowledge of data analysis practices and tools.
