Overview

This role focuses on ensuring the quality of planning, implementation, and follow-up of programme sub-activities to provide start-up support to Home-Based Businesses (HBB) and Micro-Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It also involves supporting established businesses with networking and development opportunities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Implement work plan for HBB and MSMEs support.
  • Ensure communication with Economic Recovery assistants regarding intake sessions.
  • Monitor and analyze applications based on pre-set scoring.
  • Conduct quality assurance for entrepreneurs with feasible business ideas.
  • Work closely with training service provider to ensure training plan execution.
  • Lead/co-lead grant selection committee.
  • Communicate with selected applicants for support.
  • Lead arrangements for voucher distribution.
  • Work closely with DRC’s contracted accountant for business formalization.
  • Lead administrative work for reimbursement of service providers.
  • Ensure programme activities align with DRC’s SOPs and compliance.
  • Work closely with Economic Recovery Officer Wage Employment & Private Sector Engagement to identify networking opportunities.
  • Ensure follow-up surveys are conducted and coaching sessions are delivered.
  • Lead active and regular program monitoring for self-employment activities.
  • Assure proper program documentation and provide regular reporting.
  • Maintain close coordination with other DRC’s departments.
  • Support, guide, and coach Economic Recovery Assistants.
  • Contribute to the development and harmonization of tools, workflows and SOPs.
  • Guide integration of cross-cutting protection considerations.
  • Analyze changing needs amongst SuTPs and refugee groups.
  • Proactively seek, assess, and report new opportunities.
  • Liaise with governmental bodies and industries.
  • Coordinate with other I/NGOs.
  • Represent DRC in coordination meetings.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental coordination with MEAL.
  • Ensure FCRM related visibilities are shared.
  • Review MEAL reports and develop action plans.
  • Keep a record of MEAL reports and actions taken.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of practical experience in economic recovery/livelihood working for an INGO.
  • Experience working in start-up grant support.
  • Understanding of business formalization process.
  • Experience working in the humanitarian field with displaced individuals (preferably experience of working in Southern Turkey).
  • Understanding refugees' rights and protection issues, children, and women.
Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or higher in business management, economics, finance or other relevant fields.
