Overview
The Investment Officer (Private Equity) will assist in managing and investing the Fund's assets in private equity and real assets markets, monitoring portfolio holdings, and conducting investment research.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists the Senior Investment Officer (SIO) to manage and invest the assets of the Fund in private equity and real assets markets.
- Monitors the various portfolio holdings and conduct appropriate security analysis.
- Complies with risk control parameters.
- Integrates Principles of Responsible Investments into investment analysis.
- Conducts portfolio review periodically and presents in the Portfolio Review Meeting.
- Conducts portfolio analysis using risk tools and analytical tools.
- Performs fundamental analysis through financial statements, market news, and other available information.
- Reviews investment research and discuss with strategists, economists, security analysts.
- Attends investment conferences and Seminars.
- Assists in evaluating the quality of the advice of recommendations submitted by the Fund's research provider and appraise performance of external managers.
- Ensures Fund’s four investments criteria: safety, profitability, liquidity, and convertibility.
- Contributes to making specific investment recommendations.
- Presents and discusses investment recommendations to SIO.
- Participates in the discussions and development of investment recommendations for asset allocation.
- Assists in the preparation of reports accurately and timely to the Representative of the Secretary-General and Director of OIM.
- Assists the Director of the Investment Management Division in reporting on investments and related matters to governing bodies.
Required Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in (i) quantitative investment analysis, (ii) qualitative investment analysis, (iii) portfolio management, (iv) portfolio analytics, and (v) legal negotiations is required. Investment experience working at a private equity or private credit investment firm is desirable. Investment experience working at an Institutional Investor Organization such as Pension funds, Endowments, Foundations is desirable. Investment experience working at an investment banking or consulting firm is desirable.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Business and Administration (MBA), Finance, Economics or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is desirable.
