The Programme Analyst (Justice & Rule of Law) will lead the day-to-day management of activities contributing to progress in governance, justice, human rights, and the rule of law, supporting the expansion of UNDP’s justice and rule-of-law portfolio.
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at the national and/or international level in governance, justice reform, rule of law, or human rights programming. Experience working in the UN/ international organization is an advantage. Experience working in fragile or conflict-affected contexts (including BARMM) is an advantage. Experience in preparation of concept notes, project proposals in the areas of governance, justice, rule of law and transparency is an asset. Experience working with government agencies, local communities and stakeholders involved in governance and/or governance reforms is an advantage. Experience in monitoring, evaluation and supervision of projects in the areas of governance, justice, rule of law, transparency is desirable. Experience working with government agencies, courts, justice sector institutions, or human rights bodies is desired. Familiarity with human rights-based approaches (HRBA) and access-to-justice programming is desired.
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant field of expertise such as Law, Human Rights, Political Science, Public Administration, Development Studies, International Relations, and other related field is required. Or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with additional two (2) years qualifying experience.
