Overview
The CCCM General Support is responsible for district-level coordination and management of collective shelters, focusing on site management, coordination, and protection mainstreaming. The role involves site monitoring, service mapping, community engagement, and information management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site monitoring visits to identify needs, gaps, and duplication of efforts.
- Ensure referral and escalation of gaps and needs to relevant service providers and humanitarian coordination structures.
- Develop and maintain site-level service mapping.
- Conduct household-level registration and roster verification.
- Support site planning to ensure dignified living conditions.
- Escalate HLP concerns to relevant authorities and Protection teams.
- Maintain or establish networks of key informants at IDP sites.
- Support MoSA in timely registration of new IDPs and identification of protection-related needs.
- Support MoSA in data collection exercises using tools such as Kobo.
- Ensure information points are in place and accessible.
- Update public information boards with site management and partner information.
- Maintain site-level contact master lists of stakeholders and agencies.
- Support in the drafting of weekly situation reports.
- Provide, document, and track timely referrals and service requests.
- Co-facilitate community-led safety audits and produce reports with actionable recommendations.
- Identify site care and maintenance needs and support procurement and distribution of maintenance toolkits.
- Support the identification of skilled workers within sites and refer for training.
- Maintain existing committees while ensuring they are representative and establish, train, and support representative Site Management Committees (SMCs).
- Support the renewal and inclusion of existing committee members.
- Develop Terms of Reference (TORs) for SMC committees and ensure members are trained.
- Provide resources and information that support regular community consultations and meetings with SMC committees.
- Support and promote the participation of marginalized groups in site governance mechanisms and CCCM activities.
- Coordinate with service providers on referrals, joint community engagement, service mapping, and activity coordination.
- Coordinate and maintain constructive relationships with local authorities, local NGO partners, UN agencies, and other humanitarian actors.
- Attend sector coordination meetings.
- Represent DRC with communities, local authorities, site partners, and other stakeholders.
- Foster collaborative relationships with local authorities.
- Attend and facilitate meetings with stakeholders, including translation and provision of meeting minutes.
- Share emergency information with line manager.
- Prepare and share weekly work plan and movement plan.
- Ensure regular collection of data and maintain accurate activity trackers.
- Support in preparation of catchment or area-based coordination meetings.
- Contribute weekly, monthly, and final narrative reports on CCCM activities and achievements.
Required Experience
- Previous experience working in the field with an INGO/UN agency and in an emergency setting
- 0 to. 1 years of experience in a similar job or related role
Qualifications
Diploma / bachelor's degree desirable (i.e., civil engineering, architecture, sociology)
