Overview
The Protection Monitoring Officer will participate in the implementation of DRC’s protection objectives for Bangladesh and affected populations, contributing to the development of protection monitoring information sharing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and qualitative implementation of Protection monitoring activities at field level.
- Monitor and share trends for analysis of the protection situation and environment.
- Draft Protection Monitoring, activity reports, and evidence-based advocacy notes.
- Collect and maintain project data ensuring data protection and confidentiality.
- Use provided tools for questionnaires, checklists, and coaching.
- Represent the Protection Monitoring team in coordination meetings.
- Establish good working relationships with relevant team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure all data protection and other protection policies are followed.
- Contribute to the development of protection monitoring products.
- Participate in the implementation of general protection activities.
- Participate in rapid protection assessments, joint assessments, and protection analysis.
- Monitor the provision of services and report on findings.
- Carry out information dissemination and awareness raising activities.
Required Experience
At least 2 years of experience in refugee/displacement programs, with a focus on protection work. Research experience is preferable.
Qualifications
University Degree in the field of Social Sciences, Humanitarian Affairs, Human Rights, International Law, Development Studies or any other related field.
