Overview

Participates in the recruitment process for Area staff and other personnel, screens applications, prepares vacancy advertisements, and coordinates recruitment plans.


Key Responsibilities
  • Participates in the recruitment process for Area staff and other personnel, participates in interview boards as Ex-Officio as required; maintains and monitors “daily paid workers” rosters within the field.
  • Screens applications against established criteria and raises discrepancies with the concerned department and advises the supervisor(s) accordingly.
  • Prepares and/or reviews vacancy advertisements and ensures compliance with post descriptions and production of effective material for advertisement; coordinates preparation and administration of technical tests and interviews; ensures that all invited candidates to tests or interviews are informed of their schedules on timely basis.
  • Assists the supervisor in coordinating recruitment plans with hiring managers, ensuring that concerned parties agree on timelines and that recruitments are carried out within the overall recruitment plan.
  • Prepares and updates the recruitment reports and maintains rosters as applicable, prepares statistical analysis and other related reports.
  • Contacts applicants and candidates, responds to queries, and arranges appointments for interview boards and tests.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience

At least three years of experience in human resources management in an international, governmental or commercial organization, including one year at a supervisory level preferably in recruitment is required.

Qualifications

A university degree from an accredited educational institution in human resources management, public or business administration.

Remuneration
Monthly basic salary USD 1,410.70 payable in JD at UN monthly exchange rate. The Jerusalem Allowance will be paid subject to eligibility criteria. Monthly Provident Fund contribution (15.4% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable). 2 days of sick leave for each completed month of service. 14 weeks of Maternity Leave. 2 weeks paternity leave.
