Overview

The Project Management Specialist will assist in providing high-quality professional project implementation support and technical advice in the overall delivery of the EU-PH Green Economy Partnership.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and assistance in the overall implementation of the project (GEP-SO2).
  • Ensure timely implementation of project activities including submission of progress reports to donor, development of annual work plans and budget monitoring, project monitoring and evaluation, trouble shooting.
  • Strengthen strategic partnerships with national government agencies, private sector and civil society groups, and ensure effective and sustained engagement with LGUs and their local stakeholders.
  • Represent the Project, where needed, at strategic and technical levels at project planning and coordination meetings/events.
  • Ensure timely documentation of project activity updates, data gathering, lessons learned, best practices, and case studies for reporting purposes.
Required Experience

A minimum of 7 years (with master´s degree) or 9 years (with bachelor´s degree) of professional experience including demonstrated experience in 1) managing teams of diverse technical experts and field officers and personnel, supporting local governments, 2) overseeing project implementation, delivery tracking, and performance monitoring for large scale, multi-million dollar development project and 3) providing technical leadership in the field of circular economy, which includes but not limited to sustainable consumption and production, upstream measures for waste avoidance, resource recovery towards waste diversion, emerging clean/green technologies and business models, or circular economy investments. Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based management systems, and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Environmental Management, Engineering, Economics, Industrial Ecology, Sustainable Development, or other relevant fields is required, or; A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience.
