Overview

The Programme Analyst will support the development and implementation of effective programmes consistent with UN Women rules and regulations, contributing to research, financial management, and programme implementation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute technically to programme strategy development.
  • Provide technical support to programme implementation and management.
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity development support to programme partners.
  • Provide technical inputs to programme monitoring and reporting.
  • Provide technical inputs to programme management of people and finances.
  • Contribute to building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies.
  • Provide technical inputs to inter-agency coordination.
  • Provide inputs to advocacy, knowledge building and communication efforts.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in programme or project support, preferably in gender equality, women, peace and security, leadership and governance. Experience supporting programme implementation, coordination, and partner engagement. Experience working with civil society organizations, including women-led organizations and networks. Experience in organizing and supporting training, workshops, or advocacy initiatives. Experience in monitoring programme activities and contributing to reports. Experience working in fragile, conflict, or humanitarian contexts is an asset.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/ women’s studies, international development, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) would be an added advantage.
