Overview
Consultant to harmonize, contextualize, and develop cross-border training modules for institutional and community actors in Mauritania, Mali, and Senegal.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct an inventory and analysis of existing training modules, guides, and tools.
- Identify gaps, update needs, and harmonization opportunities.
- Revise, harmonize, and adapt existing training modules.
- Develop new content for under-covered themes, including hydro-diplomacy.
- Develop a regional training kit including harmonized modules, pedagogical supports, and evaluation tools.
- Produce a simplified trainer's guide with recommendations for session facilitation, pedagogical methods, exercises, and learning evaluation.
Required Experience
- At least 10 years of confirmed expertise in social engineering, training engineering, and curriculum development.
- Proven experience in water-conflict-climate-peace nexus themes.
- Knowledge of the Water-Peace-Development nexus.
- In-depth knowledge of the Sahelian and cross-border context.
- Solid experience in gender, GBV, and LNOB approaches.
- Ability to work with state institutions, decentralized services, Defense and Security Forces, and communities.
- Demonstrated experience in designing conflict-sensitive modules for Defense and Security Forces, central and local authorities, and community actors in cross-border contexts is a major asset.
Qualifications
University degree of higher level (Master's or equivalent) in engineering, social sciences, natural resource management, environment, climate change, water resource management, development, peacebuilding, or any other relevant field.
