Overview
Edit and produce video content for UNDP’s COP17 campaign on nature finance, creating engaging videos for social media and other platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce a total of 6 videos (X 3 languages)
- Edit 3-4 videos and interviews into short, engaging vertical formats and reels for social media.
- Add subtitles, on-screen text, transitions, music and basic motion graphics where required.
- Adapt videos into different formats and dimensions for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and the BIOFIN website.
- Ensure that videos follow UNDP and BIOFIN branding, accessibility and editorial guidance.
- Incorporate feedback and submit finalized files together with editable project files.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience editing videos for digital or social media platforms.
- Proficiency in video-editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or equivalent.
- Ability to turn longer footage into concise and engaging short-form videos.
- Ability to edit interviews, event footage and longer-form video content into a clear narrative.
- Experience adding subtitles, on-screen text, music, transitions and basic graphics.
- Understanding of vertical, square and landscape formats and social-media production requirements.
- Good visual judgment, attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent branding.
- Ability to work independently, manage files carefully and meet agreed deadlines.
- Experience producing explainer videos or basic motion graphics (desirable).
- Experience editing content for international organizations, nonprofits, development initiatives or advocacy campaigns (desirable).
- Familiarity with biodiversity, climate change, sustainable development or environmental communications (desirable).
- Experience working with footage produced by different contributors and recorded under varying technical conditions (desirable).
- Experience applying accessibility standards, including readable captions and appropriate pacing (desirable).
- Familiarity with multilingual video production and subtitle-file formats (desirable).
- Basic audio correction, colour correction and image-enhancement skills (desirable).
