Overview

The Emergency Room Nurse serves in hospital Emergency Departments to promote and ensure high-quality care, cooperate with hospital teams, and secure patient access to healthcare. The role involves supporting and coaching health staff to improve clinical management and emergency preparedness.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with hospital teams for patient access and continuum of care.
  • Helps implement and adapt patient documentation systems.
  • Ensures cooperation with ICRC and hospital counterparts.
  • Follows goals for triage procedures, patient flow, and timely treatment.
  • Promotes and ensures high-quality nursing care and clinical management.
  • Establishes a safe patient environment through infection prevention and control measures.
  • Contributes to a safe and conducive working environment, focusing on non-violent communication.
  • Builds capacity of health staff through support and coaching.
  • Performs and reports on daily patient rounds.
  • Contributes to the emergency department capacity and training strategy.
  • Conducts weekly case reviews or educational activities.
  • Promotes staff training on medical equipment.
  • Supports the development and implementation of rules & regulations, SOPs, and guidelines.
  • Ensures rational use of drugs and consumables, oversees reordering, and follows up on stock and PPE supply.
  • Collects accurate data through timely completion and filing of documents.
  • Participates in emergency preparedness and response measures.
Required Experience

3 to 5 years' overall work experience in a hospital, including 1 to 3 years' practice in ER.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • License to practice
  • Valid registration with the order of Nurses in Lebanon is required.
  • BLS and ACLS are a must have.

Remuneration
Salary Package: 2’120 – 3’095 USD/Month Transportation Allowance: 15$ per day. 13th Month of salary paid in December, pro rata basis in accordance with the period worked. Annual Leave: 20 calendar working days of paid leave per year, pro rata basis in accordance with the period worked. Health Insurance: Full insurance coverage (no co-NSSF) - 90% of premium fees under the class B covered by the ICRC; option for class upgrade is available with extra charges. International Retirement Saving Plan (IRSP): a contribution valued at 11.5% of your monthly salary. Other benefits subject to internal rules and regulations: High Cost of Living Allowance (HCLA), Schooling allowance, Eyeglasses Reimbursement.
