Overview

Provide expert support for donor government coordination mechanisms to ensure inclusive and gender-responsive recovery and EU accession processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert support for the effective functioning of the Secretariats of the SWG “Gender Equality” and the Platform for Gender Mainstreaming and Inclusive Recovery.
  • Support coordination and communication with members of the SWG and Platform, and relevant government, parliament, civil society, and development partners.
  • Provide expert analytical support to identify strategic priorities, needs, and approaches, including drafting analytical materials and policy papers.
  • Provide expert advice on planning to identify priorities for strengthening coordination mechanisms, including drafting action plans.
  • Support monitoring and reporting to track results, lessons learned, and best practices, including preparing reports and dashboards.
  • Organize meetings of the SWG and Platform, including drafting agendas, inviting members, preparing meetings, and drafting minutes and reports.
  • Facilitate public discussions, dialogues, and multistakeholder consultations on inclusion/non-discrimination and gender equality issues.
  • Support capacity development training activities for members of the coordination mechanisms, including needs assessment, capacity plan development, and organizing training activities.
Required Experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience (after Master’s degree) in human rights and/or gender equality, governance and public administration, civil service or other related fields.
  • Proven experience in providing legal and policy advance and expert support to government institutions on inclusion and gender mainstreaming to the EU accession and recovery process.
  • Proven understanding of human rights, gender equality and women’s empowerment, and national and international gender equality commitments in Ukraine.
  • Experience with coordination and technical support of meetings and consultations with government authorities.
Qualifications

Advanced (Masters) degree in Law, Public Policy and Administration, International Relations, Gender Studies, Social and Humanitarian Sciences, or related fields are required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Fluency in verbal and written English and Ukrainian is required.

Knowledge of any other UN official language is an asset.
