Overview

Provide occupational health and clinical services to UN staff and other clientele. Assist the Medical Officer in various medical procedures and health guidance.

Tasks Summary

• Assist Medical Officer in occupational health and clinical services
• Prepare staff for missions, including travel clearances and vaccinations
• Provide primary care, referrals, and emergency care
• Administer vaccinations and write prescriptions
• Assist in physical examinations and vital sign checks
• Offer guidance on occupational health matters
• Ensure adequate medical supplies

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible clinical experience in nursing or related area
• Experience administering immunizations, malaria prophylaxis, travel kits
• Experience in an occupational health setting
• Experience with inventory management including stock taking
• Experience in medico-administrative matters
• Experience working in a highly diverse multi-cultural, multilingual organization

Qualification Requirements

• University degree (B.S. or equivalent) in nursing, medicine, occupational health, public health or related field
• National registration and nursing license (e.g. Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or other relevant certificate)
• Familiarity with standard computer/IT tools such as MS Office
• Formal training in CPR and, preferably, in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support or equivalent emergency medical care is desirable
• Experience using other electronic tools and clinical databases is highly desirable

Languages Required: • Advanced proficiency level in spoken and written English

Languages Preferred: • Thai language skills a distinct advantage
