Overview

Facilitate law enforcement cooperation to tackle environmental crimes using INTERPOL’s information systems and increase the flow and exchange of information to enable the identification of international criminal networks.

Tasks Summary

• Increase the flow and exchange of information related to environmental crime through INTERPOL’s information system
• Support the organization of law enforcement meetings
• Act as a point of contact for National Central Bureaus (NCBs), other Law Enforcement Agencies and other partners
• Draft and disseminate basic criminal intelligence products
• Develop and promote law enforcement best practice handbooks for investigators
• Develop and deliver capacity building programmes aiming to enhance international law enforcement response to tackling environmental crimes

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional relevant work experience as an investigator in a law enforcement agency dealing with organized crime and/or environmental crime-related issues and/or other complex criminal investigations
• Proven experience in Police services
• Demonstrated professional experience in specialized criminal investigations, including regional expertise and operational police support
• Competency and experience in evidence collection, chain of custody, interviewing techniques and preparing

Qualification Requirements

• Three to four years' education at a University or other establishment, in a relevant field, is required
• Law enforcement training at a senior level

Languages Required: Professional fluency in English is required

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of other official INTERPOL languages (Arabic, French or Spanish) is desirable
