Overview

Tasks Summary
- Monitor economic developments and identify issues.
- Design and conduct studies on investment policies and financing strategies.
- Develop policy recommendations and formulate proposals.
- Attend international meetings and organize expert group meetings.
- Prepare speeches and inputs for senior staff.
- Provide substantive support to intergovernmental bodies.
- Represent the organizational unit at meetings.
- Design and monitor technical cooperation projects.
- Undertake missions to member states.
- Prepare analyses for advising national governments.
- Conduct training seminars and workshops.
- Formulate modalities for project evaluation.
- Support junior staff and review their work.
- Participate in broader organizational undertakings.
- Perform other related duties and administrative tasks.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in economic research and analysis, policy formulation, application of economic principles in development programmes or related area is required.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in research and analysis, capacity-building and consensus-building in the area of investment financing for development is desirable.
- Experience in designing and managing partnerships in support of investment financing for development is desirable.
- Experience dealing with sustainable investment in the digital and green sectors is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in economics or related field.
- A relevant first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
