Overview

Manage data automation projects and improve the automation framework. Assess infrastructure and technology, and engage stakeholders for capacity building.


Tasks Summary
  • Manage engagement with Data Analytics and Business Applications Team
  • Collect business requirements from Investment Management, Risk, Compliance, Operations and IT
  • Analyze and evaluate requirements, providing functional expertise
  • Define project scope
  • Create detailed work plans
  • Assess automation structure compatibility
  • Implement third-party risk, cybersecurity and privacy standards
  • Deliver roadmap for automation and technology alignment
  • Evaluate tools for data automation (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, Snowflake)
  • Implement templates and frameworks for coding and workflow automation standardization
  • Conduct workshops on automation principles
  • Provide training in automation tools and practices
  • Facilitate alignment between business, IT, security, risk, and legal teams
  • Write technical and non-technical documentation
  • Review current data automation landscape
  • Advise on adoption of technology platforms
  • Improve enterprise understanding of data schemas, inventory, classification, and reporting
  • Define and implement cybersecurity and privacy standards for data projects, quality controls, and vendor risk management

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience developing and implementing data automation pipelines, automating business processes
  • Demonstrated experience of creating business value through data and analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to work across business lines at a senior level to influence and effect change
  • Experience creating or implementing tools and capabilities for data discovery & collaboration, data cataloguing, data automation, and data sharing
  • Experience gathering and documenting data automation requirements for pipelines and workflow/processes
  • Analytical and integration experience involving complex data sets
  • Experience defining and applying cybersecurity and privacy policies and standards
  • Experience in developing/implementing/optimizing data strategies within a large asset manager (desired)
  • Experience supporting Investment Management, primarily in Equities and Fixed Income with knowledge in the Private Assets space (desired)

Qualification Requirements
  • Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in computer science or related field
  • A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree

Languages Required: Fluency in English

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another UN language

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality: The consultant is expected to work from OIM offices in NY. Remote or hybrid work maybe be considered.
