EU Youth Portal Volunteer opportunity: Volunteering in non-formal learning center VitaTiim


Tasks Summary

The volunteer will contribute to the organisation through the following tasks and activities: - assist with language learning activities, such as English Language Cafes for kids and youth; - blogging, making photos and videos, making posters, writing posts to Instagram, preparing live streams; - assist with art and handicraft activities, help with decorations and making souvenirs & gifts; - participate in & organise information, educational and cultural events for young people; - assist in administration & project work of the organisation; - learning reflection: learning diary; - working on personal project related with sustainable life; - preparing the community learning festival "Everyone is learning" Volunteer will be encouraged to integrate into the project their own ideas, experience and creativity. The specific program will be made in cooperation with the volunteer based on his/her competences and interests and VitaTiim's goals. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Volunteers will be accommodated in groups of 2-4 in rented and appropriately furnished flats. They will have a private or shared bedroom and a shared kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. Food allowance will be given to the volunteers monthly. The volunteers will cook by themselves. Narva is not a big city, therefore the volunteers will walk to the placement. If a volunteer decide to use public transport for going to the HO, they will get monthly transportation money. In case there are any project activities being held outside the city the volunteers will get their expenses covered by VitaTiim. Training during the activity - On-arrival training course and mid-term evaluation meeting organised by Estonian National Agency; - "Check-in" training course upon arrival and ESC common days once in a month organised by VitaTiim NGO for all volunteers doing their services in Ida-Virumaa region; - Training course by VitaTiim, where volunteers will have workshops related to meaning of sustainability and sustainable development and its realisation in their hosting organisation. This will be the first step to accumulate all activities which can be implemented to increase sustainability; - Russian language course. Participant profile We expect volunteer who love children and have interest to work with them. We are also looking for friendly, open for communication and exchange of experience, hard-working young person with sense of initiative or wish to develop it. Moreover, volunteer should have the motivation to bring solidarity to their host organisation and to the local community. We are supportive to participants with fewer opportunities, such as cultural, economic difficulties and geographic obstacles. We welcome and be happy, if a potential candidate has special skills, interests or knowledge.
