Alsalam Association Assalam Community Foundation Volunteer opportunity: Final Call: Join the 59-Day Team Volunteering Project in Tanzania!
Join a 59-day team volunteering program in Tanzania, where you'll engage in hands-on permaculture work, contribute to community empowerment, and help tackle key social challenges. This unique experience offers the chance to create lasting impact while immersing yourself in the vibrant culture and daily life of local communities. Together with a diverse team of changemakers, you’ll grow, learn, and make a real difference. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Accommodation will be provided on the foundation’s campus, with participants staying in shared rooms (2–3 people per room). Meals will also be served on campus. All practical details regarding accommodation, food, and transportation will be shared with selected participants in the info pack. Participant profile We are looking for open-minded, motivated, and adaptable young people aged between 18 and 35 who are eager to contribute to community-based projects. Ideal participants should be passionate about sustainability, nature-based practices, and intercultural learning. Prior experience in volunteering, permaculture, or environmental education is a plus but not required. Volunteers should be ready to work in a team, live in basic shared accommodation, and engage in hands-on tasks such as gardening, composting, and community workshops. We welcome participants who are respectful of different cultures, willing to learn, and committed to making a positive impact throughout the 59-day project in Tanzania.
