Tasks Summary

Join our team of volunteers that prepare activities in the youth centre and educate on the environment. The foreseen activities are, but not limited to: - interactive activities, lectures, presentations, simulation games, role-plays with youngsters in our youth centres (one of them is mobile!) - visits with pupils to the landfill and selective waste collection centre - organizing treasure hunts and other intercultural events - writing blogposts and articles - organizing wide games on different topics - intercultural (music, dance, art, cinema etc) weekend/ summer events. You will get the chance to work in our youth centres, including the mobile one, in local schools and libraries, outdoors and to organize summer events including our rural festival: Ruralympics. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements - reimbursement of travel costs up to 211/309/395 euro (according to distance) or 285/417/535 eur if you choose to use green transport means. - accommodation in a traditional house in our community together with the rest of the volunteers (you will be a group of internationals) - food allowance and pocket money - local transport bus permits and car when needed for activities, - sim cards with mobile data, medical insurance etc - Romanian lessons and other specific trainings Training during the activity As a volunteer in our projects you will receive a variety of trainings and support such as: - mentor support - language training - coordination, materials for activities and equipment - task-related trainings such as teambuilding, health and security, event management, basic youthwork and group dynamics, communication etc Participant profile - is between 18 and 30 years old - is available for at least 8 months of the mobility (starting on the 20th of October) - is motivated to do international volunteering - is strongly motivated to live and work in rural area - is interested in learning a different European language - is motivated to promote rural heritage and sustainable values and behaviours - is motivated to develop new competences and to learn about community development - has at least basic English communication skills, spoken and written
