Stichting BioArt Laboratories Eindhoven, Netherlands Volunteer opportunity: BioArt Laboratories - Monument assistance 2026
Join Our Volunteer Renovation Team to restore a monumental WWII era complex. We’re looking for 6 enthusiastic volunteers to help bring new life to a remarkable WWII-era building — a unique Heimatstil-style bunker disguised as a traditional Brabant farmstead. You’ll take part in hands-on restoration work such as: 🎨 Painting shutters 🪟 Removing old paint from windows 🔧 Assisting with pipe and infrastructure repairs No prior experience needed — just energy, teamwork, and a willingness to get your hands dirty! This is your chance to preserve a piece of history while learning practical renovation skills in a friendly, motivated team. 📅 When: [15 January 2026 until 10 January 2026] 📍 Where: [Eindhoven, Netherlands] Interested? Sign up now and help us make history shine again! Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The accommodation is at BioArt Village, a beautiful location surrounded by a forest inside the city of Eindhoven. The place is off-grid, fulfilling basic needs, and participants must approach this with a non-wasteful mindset. Common areas include the living room, kitchen, shower and toilets. In addition to pocket money, you also receive food money, so basic cooking skills are necessary. Training during the activity No specific experience is needed—just a love of living in an offgrid, forest environment, a willingness to work physically, and an open mindset. You’ll gain practical experience and learn about preparing old buildings for renovation, and contribute to a meaningful project. Keep in mind that it can be cold in the Netherlands. Participant profile We’re especially looking for volunteers who are curious about practical work, and can thrive in a team while also being self-reliant. Resilience, motivation, and a positive attitude are essential. We warmly welcome applicants with fewer opportunities, and we ask that all participants are in good mental and physical health, and are able to commit to a stay of at least 15 days. Because you will be living in a dormitory setting, keeping the place (for example kitchen and living area) clean together. Let’s create a future rooted in nature—growing it together, one project at a time
