ASSOCIAZIONE DI PROMOZIONE SOCIALE JOINT Galbiate (Lecco), Italy Volunteer opportunity: Esc Team in Eco-hostel Monte Barro Italy for Promoting Environmental Sustainability
The Hostel Parco Monte Barro is an eco-hostel with environmentally sustainable values and parameters. It is located in the middle of Monte Barro Regional Park, situated at 750m above sea level. We will do some indoor and outdoor activities. The categories includes- working with animals: the campaign for the preservation of toads; local self-production; farm trip. - Learning about the area: trekking activities. - Caring for the group and the place where we live: transfeminist workshop; manual, artistic, creative activities on recycling and reuse. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Pocket money: 17€ per day (the traveling expenses are included in this total sum). Accommodation: will be provided inside the hostel managed by the organisation, inside a triple/doble rooms shared with other volunteers. Food: ONLY VEGETARIAN lunch and dinner will be provided, extra food will be bought by volunteer on their cost. Training during the activity On arrival training: first 2 days - organized by the coordinating organization Associazione Joint. Final evaluation with Youhpass Certificate and last 2 days. Participant profile MUST be resident /citizen of an EU country. Available for the whole period of the project (09/03/25 - 04/04/25). aged 18 to 30; interested in living in an isolated area; ready for activities with farm animals or toads; open for physical or manual work and “get hands dirty”; ready for trekking experiences; ready to follow vegan of vegetarian diet; ready to cook for yourself and others; ready to share private spaces with the team; be open minded; positive and peaceful attitude; flexibility to adapt to possible changes; proactive and respectful; ready to go out from comfort zone, experiment, and explore; at least intermediate knowledge of English. **Selection interviews will be held starting January 12, 2026**
