Overview

Provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for Early Childhood Development (ECD) within the health sector, with an integrated focus on nutrition in early childhood.

Tasks Summary

• Support to ECD programme development and planning
• Programme management, monitoring, and delivery of results
• Technical and operational support to programme implementation
• Networking and partnership building
• Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of one year of professional experience in early childhood development and/or nutrition-related areas is required in social development planning and management
• Three or more years of professional experience will be considered an asset
• At least one year or more of working experience in early childhood nutrition (breastfeeding, complementary feeding, growth monitoring, anemia prevention) is an asset
• Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered an asset
• Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is highly desirable

Qualification Requirements

A university degree in one of the following fields is required: public health, nutrition, child development, family studies, or another relevant technical field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English are required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another an indigenous language of Peru consider an asset (Quechua, Kandoshi, Shipibo, etc). Knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
