Overview
The Senior Evaluation Officer will lead and conduct evaluations of World Bank Group operational policies, programs, and activities, focusing on planet sectors including climate and nature-based solutions. The role aims to enhance accountability and learning to improve development effectiveness.
Tasks Summary
- Lead or co-lead the design, implementation, and dissemination of IEG evaluations, including thematic and cluster evaluations.
- Lead or co-lead micro reviews and/or their coordination in Planet sectors.
- Lead, co-lead, and/or participate in the development of Learning Engagements (LEs) and outreach activities.
- Provide advice and technical insight on other evaluation work and contribute to the IEG work program.
- Oversee the work and support coaching of junior staff, providing quality assurance and guidance.
- Contribute to VPU, departmental, and cross-sectoral activities, providing methodological advice.
Experience Requirements
Extensive experience in planet sectors including climate and nature-based solutions.
