Overview
Manages projects involving feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development, and implementation of moderately complex systems. Participates as a member of an ICT Infrastructure team with responsibility for major components of complex systems.
Tasks Summary
- Manages projects involving feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development and implementation of new, moderately complex systems.
- Develops detailed system and other functional specifications and user documentation for major systems related to networking, ICT Infrastructure, Network Operations, Cisco Firewalls, Switches and Routers, Wireless LAN, Web Filtering, VPN, ISE, Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
- Provides comprehensive design, strategic planning, seamless implementation and ongoing management of migrating IT infrastructure from on-premise environments to cloud platforms.
- Maintains, upgrades or enhances existing networks, ICT Infrastructure, user systems; troubleshoots and provides continuing user support.
- Designs and maintains ICT Infrastructure components that require integration of many interrelated systems and program elements.
- Organizes and performs unit and integrated testing, designing and utilizing test bases; assists users in acceptance testing.
- Develops training materials, operating and user manuals; trains staff in assigned systems.
- Develops business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Researches, analyzes and evaluates new technologies and makes recommendations for their deployment.
- Participates in writing reports and papers on systems-related topics.
- Facilitates communications between OIM/ISS and its clients.
- Serves as coordinator in the development of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Handles all aspects of contract administration.
- Provides guidance to, and may supervise, new/junior staff, consultants, etc.
Experience Requirements
- Significant exposure to and demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of ICT Infrastructure, Managed Service Providers including ITIL, Configuration Management, Change Management, hardware and software requirements, systems facilities and execution protocols.
- Proficiency in the development and implementation of systems of moderate size/complexity.
