Overview

Provide strategic and operational leadership for technical conference and meeting services. Oversee planning, management, and delivery of these services to UNON clients.


Tasks Summary
  • Provide operational leadership on conference technology including CMSI, RSI, AV, broadcasting, webstreaming, MAMS, video conferencing, digital signage, and captioning.
  • Provide technical leadership and work direction to the conference support team, mentor junior officers, and supervise staff.
  • Collaborate with Division of Conference support on ICTS and Conference Technology requirements for meetings.
  • Develop cost proposals, prepare procurement plans, and manage contractual services for conference technology.
  • Gather and monitor AV and ICT requirements for meetings, measure progress, and take corrective actions.
  • Propose and optimize policies, standards, and operating procedures for conference technology support.
  • Plan and execute upgrades of AV and IT equipment in existing conferencing facilities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor information standards and guidelines, and prepare technical documentation.
  • Ensure business continuity of conference operations through SLAs and ERM, and implement DR training.
  • Support digital transformation in conference management by leading the adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Collect and analyze data to detect trends and patterns, presenting insights for planning and decision-making.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, design, development, operation and maintenance of large-scale Conference Management and Simultaneous Interpretation (CMSI) systems with AV Control systems, integration with hybrid-meeting platforms, Webstreaming, Video-Conferencing and AV Broadcast and Recording systems.
  • Experience with LAN design/support for AV and collaboration systems (AV-over-IP, VLANs, network monitoring etc.) is required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience managing a team of AV technicians is required.
  • AV experience in an international organization is desirable.
  • Experience with Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) platforms and Digital Signage is desirable.
  • Two (2) years or more experience in data analytics or related areas is desirable.

Qualification Requirements
  • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, business management or related field is required.
  • A first-level degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) with two (2) additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Supplemental certifications in the ICT & Project Management fields such as ITIL, Prince 2 or PMP are required.
  • Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.
  • Supplemental certifications in the AV fields such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I), Dante, Shure/DIS, Bosch, Taiden, Televic, Q-Sys, Crestron, SMPTE ST-2110, etc. are desirable.
