Prepare and facilitate English language lessons, deliver high-quality courses, and maintain learning materials for adult learners in a multicultural setting.
Tasks Summary
- Prepare and deliver course plans and lessons aligned with the UN Language Framework (UNLF)
- Design and select methods to assess learners' progress
- Monitor and record students' attendance
- Seek feedback from participants and provide reports to the Team Leader
- Prepare the learning environment and support devices
- Contribute to the Language Programme by attending meetings and collaborating with the administration team
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience teaching English as a foreign or second language
- Three years of recent experience teaching English as a foreign or second language
- Experience using a variety of e-learning tools, O365, and online collaboration tools to teach a second or foreign language
- Experience in working with adults in a multicultural setting
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent degree) in language area studies, language teaching, applied linguistics, communication or education/pedagogy or related area
- A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted
