Overview

Prepare and facilitate Arabic language lessons, deliver high-quality courses, maintain learning materials, and correct assignments. Monitor student progress and collaborate with the administration team.

Tasks Summary

• Prepare and deliver course plans and lessons aligned with the UN Language Framework
• Design and select methods to assess learners' progress
• Monitor and record students' attendance
• Contribute to the Language Programme by attending meetings and collaborating with the administration team

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience teaching Arabic as a foreign or second language, with three years recent
• Experience using a variety of e-learning tools, O365, and online collaboration tools
• Experience in working with adults in a multicultural setting is desirable

Qualification Requirements

• Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in language area studies, language teaching, applied linguistics, communication, or education/pedagogy, OR a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience

Other Details

Languages Required: • Native speaker with expert-level competence in Arabic• Fluency in English with excellent drafting and communication skills

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage

Contract Duration: Up to 5 months

Work Modality: In person or online

Remuneration: • 50 EUR per hour for Language Training Service Hours
