Overview
Part-time language teachers prepare and facilitate lessons, deliver high-quality courses, maintain learning materials, and correct assignments. They administer evaluations, report attendance, and collaborate with others.
Tasks Summary
- Prepare and facilitate lessons aligned with the UN Language Framework (UNLF)
- Deliver interactive linguistic training in person or online
- Design and select methods to assess learners' progress
- Seek feedback from participants and provide reports to the Team Leader
- Prepare and test support devices for the learning environment
- Monitor and record students' attendance
- Attend meetings and collaborate with the administration team
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of five years of experience teaching Russian as a foreign or second language
- Three years of recent experience teaching Russian as a foreign or second language
- Experience using a variety of e-learning tools, O365, and online collaboration tools to teach a second or foreign language
- Experience in working with adults in a multicultural setting
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent degree) in language area studies, language teaching, applied linguistics, communication or education/pedagogy or related area
- A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree
