Overview
Provides professional support for the integration of digital solutions, data innovation, and emerging technologies across UNFPA South Africa's Country Programme. Assists in identifying, developing, and scaling innovative approaches to accelerate the achievement of Transformative Results and the ICPD Programme of Action.
Tasks Summary
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Country Office's Digitalization and Innovation Strategy and annual work plans.
- Identify, research, and recommend digital and innovative solutions (e.g., digital self-care, mobile health platforms, data science, frontier technologies like AI and IoT).
- Support the integration of innovative methodologies such as human-centered design (HCD) and agile development.
- Contribute to the analysis of political, social, and economic trends, focusing on the digital landscape.
- Support the monitoring and evaluation of innovation projects, assisting in defining KPIs and collecting data.
- Provide technical and operational support to implementing partners and UNFPA programme teams.
- Support capacity building initiatives for national partners and Country Office staff on innovation processes and digital literacy.
- Serve as a focal point for the innovation community of practice.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in programme management, digitalization, and innovation is required.
- Experience in identifying, researching, and recommending digital and innovative solutions is required.
- Experience in supporting the integration of innovative methodologies such as human-centered design (HCD) and agile development is required.
- Experience in contributing to the analysis of political, social, and economic trends is required.
- Experience in supporting the monitoring and evaluation of innovation projects is required.
- Experience in providing technical and operational support to implementing partners and programme teams is required.
- Experience in supporting capacity building initiatives is required.
