Overview

Internship supporting the organization of webinars, research on AI for statistics, and production of publications. The role involves supporting the DASH Team and performing other required tasks.

Tasks Summary

• Support the organization of webinars for sharing experiences on AI for statistics
• Conduct research on AI-related topics and their application to official statistics
• Support the production of a publication on the topic of AI with input from members of the DASH Team
• Support the organizers of the work of the DASH Team
• Perform other tasks as required
• Support the delivery of the objectives of the DASH Team
• Timely support to the DASH Team, including contacting members and following up on requests
• Draft research papers, blogs, and technical notes as needed
• Participate in meetings of the section and division

Experience Requirements

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
• Enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent)

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written English is required

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality: Bangkok, in-person. It is optional to do the internship remotely.

Remuneration: The internship is UNPAID. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
