Overview

Internship opportunity to gain practical experience in implementing a global deep-sea research agenda and enhance technical and scientific skills in deep-sea research and management.


Tasks Summary
  • Compile and analyze facts and figures related to ISA’s mandate
  • Assist marine scientific capacity development and research initiatives
  • Support mapping, analysis, and research on topics prioritized by the MSR Action Plan
  • Provide an overview of major scientific discoveries over the last decade

Experience Requirements

Qualification Requirements
  • Recently graduated or early career in environmental studies, biology, geology, data, GIS oceanography, geochemistry, marine biology, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management software (e.g. Excel)
  • Familiarity with research methods including data synthesis and literature reviews
Other Details

Contract Duration: at least three (3) months

Work Modality: remotely or at the ISA headquarters
