Overview

Provides medical examination, treatment, and follow-up for patients referred by Medical Officers. Responsible for maintaining patient records and providing statistical data.

Tasks Summary

• Examines, treats, and follows up on referred and urgent patients.
• Maintains patient records on the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Provides statistical data and relevant information to the Field Office.
• Plans and directs in-service training for Medical Officers on non-communicable diseases.
• Maintains a referral and feedback system with hospitals.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are maintained according to procedures.
• Performs other assigned duties.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in medicine.
• Two years’ experience in internal medicine/other relevant specialty after obtaining degree.

Qualification Requirements

• A university degree in medicine from a recognized university.
• An internship of at least twelve-month duration.
• A valid license to practice medicine as Internist/cardiology in the country of duty station (where applicable).
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or other relevant specialty.

Contract Duration: Fixed-Term Appointment for 1 year including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension
