Overview

Develop a diagnosis and proposal on incorporating adaptation perspectives into Argentina's medium- and long-term climate policy. Support the work of the Climate Impact Directorate of the National Undersecretariat for Environment.

Tasks Summary

• Survey and analyse available information on climate change adaptation in Argentina, including studies, scenarios, and SIMARCC data.
• Review the approach to adaptation and loss & damage components in Long-Term Strategies (LTS) presented to the UNFCCC.
• Update the diagnosis and propose improvements to the adaptation component, considering reporting criteria for Biennial Transparency Reports (BTR) and LTS.
• Map stakeholders related to adaptation, information providers, and training needs.
• Develop materials for dissemination, including presentations and reports on workshops.

Experience Requirements

Experience in climate change adaptation, Long-Term Strategies (LTS), National Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Plans (PNAyMCC), and Biennial Transparency Reports (BTR).
