Overview
Assist in implementing the COSMOS project focused on safe, orderly, and responsible migration within the sugar supply chain in Maharashtra, India.
Tasks Summary
- Engage migrant workers and communities
- Liaise with sugar mill and sugarcane field owners
- Support data collection, training, and workshop facilitation
- Conduct programme outreach and strengthen grassroots relationships
- Coordinate with implementing partners and stakeholders
- Support establishment and operations of Migrant Resource Centers
- Implement programmes related to migration mobility and micro-enterprise
- Work on financial inclusion and explore linkages with financial institutions
- Develop mechanisms to track, monitor, and record grievances
- Connect with government grievance redressal platforms
- Set up psychosocial support systems
- Draft progress reports, project updates, talking points, and briefing materials
- Support M&E of the project with field-level presence
- Strengthen and diversify project outreach and impact
- Facilitate translation of training modules and technical reports
- Proofread translated materials
Experience Requirements
- At least THREE years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, migration/mobility or a related field; OR six years of relevant professional experience with a High School degree
- Basic understanding of Migration, displacement, labour mobility, workers’ engagement in sugarcane farm work and sugar mills, ethical recruitment and grievance redressal mechanism
- Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation
- Solid understanding of management principles
- Proven experience of research/study on displacement, migration issues
- Experience in drafting regular status and progress report
- Experience working with Government counterparts, UN agencies and/or non-governmental organizations is considered an asset
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Social Sciences, Human Rights, migration/mobility or a related field from an accredited academic institution; OR Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution
