Overview
To lead the coordination and strengthening of strategic partnerships in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), advancing Oxfam DRC’s localisation agenda by building effective, accountable and sustainable relationships with civil society organisations, community-based organisations, local authorities and other partners.
Tasks Summary
- Oversee partnership mapping, capacity assessments, contracting and partner development plans
- Ensure compliance with Oxfam GB’s partnership tools, safeguarding and gender standards
- Support partners throughout the project cycle, including inception, monitoring, reporting and learning
- Advise management on partnership risks and opportunities
- Strengthen internal capacities for partnership working
- Promote a collaborative, learning-focused approach
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience coordinating or managing local partnerships (local government or NGOs)
- Experience including capacity assessments, partnership development plans, and localisation or locally led programming in a humanitarian or development context
- Led or overseen partnership management processes, including due diligence, partner assessments, contracting, compliance, safeguarding, gender minimum standards, and risk management
- At least 5 years’ experience in partnership coordination, capacity building and grants management within INGOs and humanitarian or development contexts
- Proven experience working with local actors (CSOs, CBOs, local authorities)
- Demonstrated experience in developing tools, guidelines, training modules or systems for partnership management and capacity building
- Good knowledge of the humanitarian and development sector, including INGOs, NGOs and government coordination structures
Qualification Requirements
• A postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management or a related field
