Overview
The Service Mapping Officer will map existing service providers for migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees in Libya and document information about them. The role involves reviewing and updating service maps to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Tasks Summary
- Develop tools for service entry and updates
- Identify service providers through various channels
- Facilitate forums with service providers to confirm information
- Maintain continuous communication with service providers for accuracy
- Coordinate with the Signpost team on site strategy and issues
- Monitor online service maps and troubleshoot
- Solicit feedback from users and staff
- Coordinate with other actors mapping services
- Conduct field visits to verify services and access barriers
- Review content and design of service maps
- Work with Community Liaisons Assistants and Volunteers to verify service information
- Conduct training for service providers on service map usage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ Humanitarian experience with a CSO, NGO, or UN is preferred
- Previous experience with the Malomat or Signpost project (or similar digital information platforms) is a strong asset
- Experience working with refugees, migrants or displaced people in a voluntary or professional capacity
Qualification Requirements
- University degree or Diploma in Information, communication Technology
- Training in psychology, social sciences, social work and education
